Last night I finished all the peppers. I really like the way they turned out. Diane Bosworth's stitch guide was great. Available at The French Knot shop in Fort Worth.
Got brave enough after dinner last night to try a few bullions for the peppers, using The French Knot stitch guide picture for proper placement. I have never stitched bullion knots before, and they were surprisingly easy. Hope to finish tonight, then this Santa will be ready for a finisher. - Sandy
I finally got the binding sewn on this quilt. Kind of modern looking fabrics but I love the greens and blues. I sort of made it up as I went along. - Sandy
While waiting for more background thread for Ristra Santa, I've been working on Uncle Sam. Finished his shoes, pants, shirt, vest, face and firecracker.
The white stripes are a diagonal over 3 and the red is a plaited stitch both with Silk Lame Braid.
I've been working on the background for two days now, along with finishing his shirt, adding his beard, and stitching his boots (except for the Tiara couched on top of the petite Very Velvet).
