Uncle Sam

While waiting for more background thread for Ristra Santa, I've been working on Uncle Sam. Finished his shoes, pants, shirt, vest, face and firecracker.



The white stripes are a diagonal over 3 and the red is a plaited stitch both with Silk Lame Braid.

Dressed in pants & boots

Finished the black Fyreworks on the black pants and the Tiara couching on the boots with the help of a strong light.

Need to order one more skein to finish background and work up my courage to do the bullion peppers.

Unending Basketweave

I've been working on the background for two days now, along with finishing his shirt, adding his beard, and stitching his boots (except for the Tiara couched on top of the petite Very Velvet).

Fleur-de-Lis

Began working on Laura Perin's Fleur-de-Lis on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon.



As finished.

Next up a little more stitching on the Ristra Santa by Petei. This much done on the return trip from Wyoming.

After stitching almost all day yesterday and part of today, this canvas is finished.



And this firecracker is almost ready to light.

Yellowstone vacation

Just got back from a week in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. What fun! Great family bonding. Actually saw alpha male wolf #755 of the Lamar Valley pack. So cool!

Only had a little time to stitch as we were very busy sightseeing. Did finish this 4" x 4" Jean Smith lily.
