What a week!

Between working 10 hour days, transporting DS to band camp, and a quick trip out of town this week, I haven't gotten much stitching done. I did have a chance to pay my respects to a fine woman, my mother's youngest sister, as her family said their goodbyes to her earthly body. We all know she is now in a better place with our Father. And we'll have to live with our memories until the day when we meet up with her and other dear ones who have gone before.

I also had a chance to visit with my sister that I haven't seen for about 5 years and other cousins. That was great even though it was a sad occasion. My sister, who is several pounds ahead of me on our Weight Watchers journey, is looking fabulous!

I was able to start on this little canvas:

I am using all Watercolors on this except for some white Kreinik in the background and several shades of Kreinik to outline each petal.

Back to Boy Scout

Worked some on the boy scout this weekend. Hope to finish him tonight. I've been using that green Stitch Landscape book for stitches for grass, bushes, and sky.

Also, began this Mill Hill bead kit in anticipation of July 4th coming up.

Petei Santa Finish

Added the beard. Fuzzy Stuff.

And the rest of the outline. Used GA Sampler thread in Wrought Iron. Small enough that I'll probably finish as a flat ornament.

Again, thanks Barbara.

Ristra Santa by Petei

This canvas came last weekend from Pocket Full of Stitches. Thanks to Steph I found this canvas I've been wanting.
Then I splurged and ordered the stitch guide by Diana Bosworth and threads from The French Knot in Fort Worth.

I hope you can see some of the fabulous threads.
I've never done bullion knots with Kreinik but that is what gives the hot peppers such a realistic look.

Another Petei Santa

My friend Barbara gave me this little Santa and I have been stitching on him during our guild's once a month stitch-ins. I need a white fuzzy thread for his beard and to finish the black outline. Maybe I can get to my LNS tomorrow after work.
